Adios Buenos Aires - Hola Jorge and the World

[Sally] Time to leave Fabio and Yvana in Buenos Aires and head South. We spend yesterday doing the final packing and getting rid of stuff that's not absolutely essential - like 20 pairs of knickers - what was I thinking?! We need a tardis really, but manage to find a spot for everything. The farewell party see us off - thank you Fabio and Yvana for your hospitality and kindness.

We head to Azul for our first stop, 300kms down the Pan American Highway. Roundabouts the wrong way around aren't too bad, but had to stop and think about turning left across traffic - we hadn't done this in Buenos Aires as the roads we rode were all one way.

We have found an incredible place to stay in Azul for no charge - Hola Jorge (pronounced Hoorhay) - this amazing man and his daughter, Penny love to meet and provide a safe haven for adventure motorbikers and their motorbikes in their home. They have an out house where they have some beds and a room with a kitchen and bathroom. The walls are covered with artwork and inscriptions from bike travellers over the past 20 years who have stayed and enjoyed Jorge's hospitality, generosity and kindness. One couple quite famous in the Adventure Motorbiker's community, Peter and Kay Forwood, who travelled for 11 years around the world and visited 193 countries - when they were blessed to pass Jorge in 2002 they were on country 127.
